Q. What kind of positions qualifies as FREE internship postings?
A.  Positions posted as free internships must be temporary positions taken by students or recent grads for training purposes. They must be referred to as internships in the title or text of the listing. Phnom Penh Jobs editors review internship listings on a daily basis. If we determine that a position does not qualify as an internship under these guidelines, the position will be deleted from the site. Phnom Penh Jobs will not accept paid work-from-home or commission-only sales positions as internships.


Q. Can I keep my company information remain confidential?
A. Yes, when posting a job on the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board, you always have the option to hide your company name and description for the purpose of the job listing. However, you must however provide job seekers either an e-mail address or a fax number for them to contact you.


Q. Do you welcome both employers and recruitment/staffing agencies?
A. Yes, the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board is open to both employers (i.e., companies) as well as recruiters and staffing agencies.


Q. Do you offer bulk recruiting packages?

A. You have two options:
1. Inactivate job listings: found as a link to the left hand side of the job listing (in the "Edit jobs" page), this feature allows employers to remove their job listing from the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board (making it invisible to job seekers) while keeping in archived within their account.
2. Delete job listings: This feature allows employers to completely delete/ remove their listing from their "Edit jobs" account. This option is also located in the "Edit jobs" page.

The Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board offers job seekers the opportunity to search on both a general job board and industry specific job boards. The general job board encompasses all industries and job functions, allowing the job seeker to cast a wider net when job searching. The industry specific job boards enable law, consulting, and finance professionals to better target their job search.


Q. What if I see a job opening that I think would interest a friend?
A. Phnom Penh Jobs offers the option of e-mailing job openings. If you would like to e-mail a job opening to a friend, scroll down to the bottom of the job description and click on "E-mail this job to a friend".

Q. Who can search the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board? Does it cost money?
A. Although we encourage you to become a Phnom Penh Jobs member, the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board is absolutely free to anyone looking for a job and requires no registration. If you register your resume with Phnom Penh Jobs, you can apply for jobs with just one click.

We encourage our users to utilize our targeted industry job boards, as these will allow for more detailed searches. Our targeted boards include:

  • New Jobs of the week board: it requires our users register to make easy to manage jobs. And job seeker must register their resume to apply a job on this board, just on click.
  • Hot jobs board:  It requires no registration for users.


Q. How current are the jobs listed on the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board?
A. Jobs stay on the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board for 60 days from the date posted. If a position is filled before the 60-day period, it is the employer's decision whether or not to take the posting down. As long as the posting is still on the site, the employer is still accepting applications for the specific job.


Q. How do I apply/respond to a position that interests me?
A. On the job description page, click on the "Apply to this job" link. This will bring up a form that offers you two ways to apply for the job. The first option is to cut and paste your resume in the field area provided. The second option allows you to enter your e-mail address and attach your cover letter and resume. (To do this, you hit the browse button and input the file from your computer). This form will automatically send your cover letter and resume to the employer who posted the job.
Many companies prefer you to send your resume via e-mail or fax while others may want you to telephone them. If there are specific instructions in the job listing, it is usually best to follow them.


Q. Does my application get processed through Phnom Penh Jobs?
A. Your response goes directly to the employer who posted the ad. Phnom Penh Jobs does not receive, review, forward, approve or disapprove your application to the employer.


Q. How are the job listings sorted on Phnom Penh Jobs's Job Board?
A. The Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board lists jobs by date, with the most recent jobs front-loaded.

Q. Does the Phnom Penh Jobs Job Board have international openings? What if I am willing to relocate?
A. Yes, Phnom Penh Jobs's job board carries international openings. If you are interested in relocating, search in the locations that you would be willing to relocate to, and discuss that possibility with your potential employer.

Q. How do I delete a message or part of a message?
A. If you wish to delete a message (or a portion of a message) that you feel is inappropriate or violates the Rules of the Board, you can send an e-mail to support@phnompenhjobs.com with the name of the board, topic or subject, or e-mail address.
Please do NOT call. Our editorial staff will respond faster to e-mailed notifications.


Q. Is someone monitoring the message boards?
A. Although we're not obligated to do so, Phnom Penh Jobs does monitor the message boards on a daily basis.


Q. Do you censor your message boards?
A. Although we're not obligated to do so, Phnom Penh Jobs does monitor the message boards on a daily basis. If a message does not comply with our Rules of the Board, we reserve the right to delete a message or remove portions of the message.


Q. Can I be notified if someone replies to my posts?
A. If you posted on Phnom Penh Jobs web board, you can receive notifications when someone replies to your e-mail that shows on the right side of your message. You will receive these in your e-mail.
